Color Block is a demonstration of using art to clean up a forgotten space. There’s a neglected a quarter mile stretch of town (that includes a variety of restaurant, retail, and lodging, in addition to several business, civic, and social service organizations) that needed some TLC. When a nationwide hotelier wanted to invest millions of dollars into their property, PED stepped up to help spark the beautification of the stretch. Using one of a kind pieces by local artists, each building has its own story to tell.
